more than a surf story.

Introducing the  black and white edition of the "Surfed Here: The Journey" series, a pivotal narrative that serves as the inspiration for my entire art collection. Within these twelve meticulously crafted pieces, every detail carries profound significance; nothing is left to aesthetic chance. I extend an invitation for you to interpret this narrative into your own personal tapestry. Explore the depth of meaning within each frame, and let this story become uniquely yours.

"This artwork speaks volumes about surfing—it's not merely a recreational activity. It delves into the depths of human experience, where fear, uncertainty, fatigue, and doubt often loom. Yet, despite these challenges, surfers persist. Riding a wave becomes a union with a force far greater than oneself. Through this connection, personal growth flourishes, as the essence of one's being is mirrored and amplified. Your art serves as a conduit for this profound connection, and for that, I'm truly grateful."

Reviews

"Personally, as a surfer, it made me ponder that delicate line between the reality of life with all its responsibilities and the transition to that other dimension one temporarily enters when grabbing the board and stepping into the water...

Yet, there's the other side, and it depends on which side of the door you wish to see, there's the return!! You exit the sea and re-enter that real dimension of life and its responsibilities. But in the moment just before crossing, your shadow alongside the door reflects a surfboard, which makes me realize that even as you immerse yourself back into everyday life and its social aspects, you never cease to be a surfer! Because that's what your soul projects."

Jerry Manzur, El Salvador
